"Page Three" STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE MEETINGThe Stewardship Committee will meet on Tuesday, August 10th, at 7:00 PM in the Church Building. Members are: Ray Anderson, Chp., Bill Kuzniak, Elizabeth Dennis, Joe Kauffman, Ray Sharp, Steve Reed and Vi Grimmett. 2010 HOMECOMINGOur Homecoming will be Sunday, August 15th. We will begin with at 11:00 AM Homecoming service with special music, guests, and friends. Former Pastor Rev. Fred Johnson will be our Homecoming Speaker. A Covered-Dish meal at 12:15 PM will follow in the Fellowship Hall. ISRAEL TRIPPastor Mike will lead a 10-day trip to the Holy Land departing February 15, 2011. Trip includes Visits to Jerusalem, Galilee, Bethlehem, and Jericho. Total Cost: $2298, call church office for details. Now is the time to send a $300 deposit and to apply for or renew your U.S. passport . B&B BACK-TO-SCHOOL SWIM PARTYThe B&B Club kids will gather in the Church parking lot on Wed. Bring your favorite homemade ice cream and some cookies and we will have some great fellowship as Jim Lansing shares some stories and pictures of Nicaragua! FRUIT IN ITS SEASONFruit In Its Season, a three act play by Award Winning Screenwriter Jonathan Richard Cring will be performed at THUMC on Saturday, August 7th at 6:30 PM in the sanctuary. We need volunteers to provide lodging for this Sat. evening (homes are just fine) for one adult male, three adult females. Some help setting up the stage a couple of hours before the performance would be appreciated.
THUMC TO HOST “VOICE TODAY”Become a child advocate for the children in your world by attending VOICE Today’s prevention & healing workshops! CEUs are offered. Dates are: Sunday, August 8th at 2PM and 29th at 2PM, Monday, September 13th-6PM and Sunday September 19th at 2PM. We need groups to host lunch before these workshops (donation basket for your group is fine). UNITED METHODIST WOMENThe UMW will go out to eat at the Oakwood Café on Tuesday, August 3rd. Please meet at the Oakwood at 6:30 PM. Car poolers will meet at the Church Parking Lot at 6:00 PM. THE YOUNG AT HEARTSThe Young at Hearts will not meet in August.
