Discovery…

Humor makes us smile, but good humor makes us think about how things are or should be. On that note I share this article from The Herald, a newsletter published by Tyrone Christian Church in Tyrone, Georgia (Holly’s parents’ church). I have modified parts from its original form:

The latest news reports are that five terrorist cell groups have been operating in many of our churches. They have been identified as: Bin Sleepin, Bin Arguin, Bin Fightin, Bin Complainin, and Bin Missin. Their leader, Lucifer Bin Workin, trained these groups to destroy the Body of Christ. Their plan is simple—come to church disguised as a Christian and to work within the church to discourage, disrupt, and destroy.

However, there has been a new Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) formed by true Christians and acting as a sixth group. A tiny cell known by the name of Bin Prayin is actually the only effective counter terrorist force currently serving in the church. Unlike the terrorist cells, the Bin Prayin team does not blend in with whoever and whatever comes along. Bin Prayin does whatever is needed to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ. One can tell the difference in this group from the terrorist cells by looking at for certain characteristics. They have Bin Watchin, Bin Waitin, Bin Fastin, and Bin Longin for their Master, Jesus Christ, to return.

NO CHURCH IS EXEMPT FROM THEIR ACTIVITIES! (However, you can spot them if you Bin Lookin and Bin Goin.)

The Apostle Paul writes, in his second letter to Timothy, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (II Timothy 1:7 NLT). So be on your guard. Do not allow terrorists of any kind to steal your peace and joy. God can and will handle them! Pastor Mike

OUR ADOPTED SOLDIERS
During our request for soldier’s names at Church, the UMW got two names: (1)1st Lt. Chris Pulliam... his name was given by James Burroughs. He & his family are from Chatsworth, he is single and he is serving overseas in the Middle East. We have adopted him and will be sending packages to him. (2) Petty Officer 1st Class Scott Richardson, was the other name.. his name was given by Tony Richardson and Robin Keith (Scott is Jo Ann Richardson's grandson too)...he is married with one son.. he is in the Navy (13 years), stationed at the present in Suffolk VA, just returning from active duty. To thank him for his service, we sent him a gift card.

Our mission is to help those serving overseas in harms way with packages each month but we wanted to thank Scott for his service, too, even thou he isn't in harms way at the present time but has been and probably will be again.
